She is deeply passionate about teaching and is strongly influenced by Parker Palmer’s educational philosophy, which emphasizes authenticity, passion, and a genuine connection to what one teaches.
"Michelle's passion for the Hebrew language and attention to detail is unparalleled. Through her incredible insight and contagious patience, we were reading within days! Michelle has undoubtedly been placed in our lives to teach this beautifully pure language the way G-d intended. With simplicity at the forefront and mastery at the core, learning from Michelle has been a gift!"

"I would like to give the highest recommendation for Michelle Geft. She has put so much time and energy into effectively teaching our students how to speak Hebrew and her hard work have paid off. The students were really interested in learning with her as she was always so enthusiastic and went out of her way to spend personal time with each of the students. Professor Geft was able to teach not only what was necessary but meld it with the students’ interests. The students went to Israel this summer and they were so much more prepared. The materials and book [Read, Write, Recite Hebrew] that she created have been exceptional. With her proprietary materials, the students learned more than they had expected and enjoyed doing so."
Connie Lee, Program Director, The Glazer Institute for Jewish Studies at Pepperdine University.
"Michelle Geft is one of the most patient and skilled teachers our family has ever had the opportunity to work with. She spent extensive time with our daughter, a Special Needs student, to mentor and guide her through the entire process of learning her Torah portion, and helped her meet all of her goals, in what turned out to be a life-changing Bat Mitzvah experience. Michelle went above and beyond the call of duty while approaching our daughter’s Mitzvah project; inspiring and nurturing her in a highly collaborative manner, which led to the publication of a teaching tool for the preschoolers to use at Malibu Jewish Center and Synagogue. Michelle does all of this with an upbeat attitude and cheerful smile on her face."
